NOTICE: The following Policy Change was approved by the ECMLS Committee and ECMLS Board of Directors and is effective immediately:

Automatic Fine Policy Update
The MLS Committee approved revisions to ECMLS Rules regarding listings containing compensation information.

CLASS 4 VIOLATIONS – This violation is for placing compensation information in the MLS whether the compensation information is direct or implied.

  • Allowable maximum penalty of up to $15000
  • Possible suspension/termination of MLS services or other provisions.
  • 1st occurrence: $500 automatic fine whether in the same listing or any subsequent listing for any property,  staff will remove violation, broker will be notified immediately.
  • 2nd occurrence: Mandatory appearance before a panel of the MLS Committee within 45 calendar days with their broker.
  •  Any further violations see the panel again.
